Research

Research themes

My work focuses on the field of collaborative research in human and environmental health, particularly in its developmental aspect, aiming at managing emerging, diffuse, and indirect risks, as well as the health of active participants. The methods employed within the expanded communities of research-intervention (ECRI) that I support aim to promote mutual and transdisciplinary learning in multiprofessional contexts. These methods involve incorporating the perspective of activity in understanding exposures and designing technical and organizational prevention measures in collaboration with diverse field actors. The documentation and illustration of individual and collective strategies, along with a particular focus on the dimensions of gender and intersectionality, support the development of plural and dynamic prevention strategies. Health, safety, and performance criteria, along with the associated conflicts, are discussed, scenario-based, and simulated to inform the constructed prevention project.

Rémanences (Real : Girardot-Pennors, 2022) was created as part of the Prevexpo intervention-research project (Goutille, 2022) "Preventing risks together in the wine industry based on real exposure conditions." This film was conceived as an intermediary object to support the development of the leeway of users of phytopharmaceutical products. It highlights the harmful and deleterious nature of pesticides while affirming the necessity of building prevention based on real work and the concerns of active individuals. Throughout the narrative, it stages the issues raised by the extended research community formed to understand and transform work, and thereby, pesticide risk situations. It showcases the ongoing research work and provides a nuanced view of the contradictions that farmers must manage. More than just presenting the results of the intervention-research beyond the involved actors, the film aims to continue the reflection initiated by the winegrowers elsewhere... exploring the possibilities of work analysis and transformation within extended research communities.
